Megan Duskey fell four stories while at the Palmer House Hilton's "Haunted Hotel Ball" in October of 2010.

Duskey, who was 23 at the time of her fatal fall,?attempted to slide down the railing?and fell four stories after losing her balance. She was already dead from head trauma when police arrived at the scene, officials said at the time.

The Palmer House Hilton said it would cooperate fully with a police investigation after the incident, and police ultimately ruled the death an accident.

Duskey was a special education teacher at Orville T.?Bright Elementary School at the time of her fall.

The lawsuit names Hilton Worldwide, the Palmer House Hilton, Surreal Chicago and Adrenaline Y2k as the defendants. It faults the hotel and event hosts for allowing the guests to overindulge in alcohol without providing adequate security.
