CLIA Australasia has closed the books on reservations for this year?s cruise3sixty conference and trade show, with a delegation of almost 40 Australian and New Zealand agents preparing to head to Vancouver next month for the event.
The largest cruise-focused travel agent conference in North America, the 2013 cruise3sixty has already attracted close to 1300 enrolments from nearly all 50 US States and Canadian provinces as well as overseas.?
Cruise3sixty will be held from June 19-23 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, with a comprehensive series of educational sessions and seminars to be offered alongside three days of general sessions led by industry leaders and a two-day trade show.
Agents also will have the opportunity to tour 10 cruise ships and attend a dedicated CLIA Specialty Cruise Collection Showcase to provide an in-depth look at the increasingly popular boutique cruise lines.
CLIA Australasia General Manager Brett Jardine said the conference was a great opportunity for local agents to get involved with the world?s largest source market for cruise passengers.
?There are lots of lessons that can be learned from the US given it?s a far more mature cruise market. The knowledge and experience gained from events such as cruise3sixty will help savvy agents to grow their cruise business here,? Mr Jardine said.
The cruise3sixty program includes keynote presentations from CLIA president and CEO Christine Duffy and renowned speaker and author Nolan Burris, as well as insights on the latest trends in cruise, leisure travel and the luxury market.?
Other sessions include interactive discussions between a host of senior cruise line representatives and travel agency leaders as well as motivational and educational presentations.
